Your typical day will consist of a set of tasks related to:

• projects planning activities, including communication with the team members of similar or other roles (PM, frontend engineers, backend engineers, devops engineer, data engineer)
• coding features and bugfixes
• conducting releases with the project team
• architecting the solution you would be responsible for, including evolutional refactoring from Ruby to Node.js

Requirements:

• You should know Ruby on Rails well enough to be able to develop an application on your own
• We expect you to know Node.js even better and be willing to shift into full-time Node.js development when the migration process finishes
• You should be proficient in working with different databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
• We look for experience and/or willingness to write automated tests
• We expect you to understand application design patterns and the ability to apply them wisely
• A can-do attitude and willingness to learn a lot in a short time
• A great team player who is able to share their work with their teammates and solve big problems in cooperation
• Good analytical skills, ability to make truthful conclusions on problems and their causes
• Ability to use English at work (B1-B2 minimum)

Nice to have:

• Experience with modern Node.js frameworks such as Nest
